For drivers
Sign in
Sign in with Discord or Steam. The first time, an account is made for you. Link the other one later in your account.
Join a VTC
Browse the directory, open a VTC and press Apply. When staff accept you, you get an alert and the Driver role, which is what makes your jobs count.
Install the tracker
Download it from the tracker page and pair it with the code from your tracker page.
Drive
Deliver as you normally would. Your dashboard in the VTC shows points, rank progress and recent jobs.
Several VTCs? Jobs count for one at a time. Pick it in your account or press "Count my jobs here" on a VTC's dashboard.
Starting a VTC
Create it
Press Create a VTC. The address you choose is permanent.
Fill in the staff area
Open Manage on your VTC. Write the about page and add a logo under Settings. Write your questions under Application form, or turn on open joining.
Set ranks and points
Under Ranks and points choose how many points a kilometre earns and where each rank starts. Changing a rank later moves everyone at once.
Add your team
Accept a few members, then give them roles under Members. You are the owner and always have every permission.
Tell people
Share yourname.truckers-hub.com. Tick "Show as recruiting" so you appear in the directory.
Connecting Discord
Truckers Hub posts to a channel through a webhook. You do not add a bot.
- In Discord open the channel, then Edit Channel, Integrations, Webhooks, New Webhook.
- Press Copy Webhook URL.
- In your VTC's Manage area open Discord, paste it next to the type of post you want there, and save.
- Press Send a test message to check it.
Webhook addresses are secret. Anyone who has one can post to that channel, so they are never shown again after saving.
Running your VTC day to day
- Job review. Every delivery is checked when it arrives for impossible speed, a distance far from the plan, or odd pay. Odd jobs still pay and wait in Job review. Clear the ones that are fine. Remove the ones that are not, with a reason the driver sees, and the points and company share go back. Drivers can also ask for a review from their own job page.
- Divisions. Teams inside your VTC. A member is in one at a time, and you choose whether members can join on their own.
- Challenges. A goal in kilometres, deliveries or money over a stretch of dates. The first time a driver reaches it they get the bonus points.
- Company wallet. Set a share of each delivery's pay. The wallet is a ledger you add to and spend from by hand. It does not move money in the game.
- Members in bulk. Tick people on the Members page to give or take a role, or remove them, in one go. Anyone above your level is skipped.
- TruckersMP. Applications and the member list show whether a person has a TruckersMP ban, using their linked Steam account.
- Discord roles. Under Discord roles, match each rank and VTC role to a Discord role. Members who linked Discord get the right role when their rank changes. You add the platform bot to your server first.
- Fleet. Buy garages and trucks from the wallet, give a truck to a driver, and see what upkeep costs per day. A job counts for a truck when the plate in the game matches the plate you entered. Selling brings back a share of the price.
- Your own domain. Show your public pages on an address you own. You add a DNS record to prove it, and Cloudflare's free plan provides the HTTPS.
- API and webhooks. Keys and signed event hooks for bots and sites. See the API guide.
- On the road. Drivers using the Truckers Hub tracker show on the live page while a game is open.
Using Trucky instead
Drivers can use Trucky and still earn points. Each driver counts jobs from one tracker only, so nothing is counted twice.
- Driver: link Steam in your account, then under Which tracker I use pick Trucky.
- VTC owner: open Manage, then Trucky. Copy the webhook address into your Trucky company's API settings, choose the job completed, canceled and deleted events, and paste Trucky's secret back into the box.
- The Recent deliveries table shows every job Trucky sent and why one was skipped.
How roles work
- A member can hold several roles. They get everything any of their roles allow.
- Roles are ordered. You can only change people and roles below your own highest role, and you can only hand out permissions you hold yourself.
- The Driver role is what makes a person's jobs count. Staff roles do not include it unless you add it.
- The Owner role cannot be given away, changed or removed.
The tracker does not work
- The app does not see my game
- Check the plugin shows as installed for that game, then restart the game. The plugin only loads when the game starts.
- My jobs do not show on the VTC
- You need the Driver role there, and the VTC must be your active one in your account. The app's status screen shows where jobs are being counted.
- The app says my token is refused
- The computer was revoked on your tracker page. Get a new pairing code and pair again. Jobs waiting in the app are kept and sent afterwards.
- I was offline when I delivered
- Nothing is lost. The app keeps the job and sends it once the connection is back, exactly once.
